"A small number of lecturers at Stow College set up a
separate entity STOWCOM (www.stowcom.com)
with the aim to generate additional commercial income. We
planned a launch event for 25-Apr-2008, however, we were
unsure as to how to reach the business community. We decided
to approach
thesmallbusinessclub
It was the best move we have ever made to take up membership
of the club. Two days prior to the event, Janet Torley
managed to email more than 3000 members and we had 12
responses with 7 companies attending the event. As far as we
are concerned, this is just the starting point for us, but
certainly bodes extremely well for the future. The members
of STOWCOM are now looking forward to being active
participants in
thesmallbusinessclub

"A quick word of thanks for your support over
the last year and a half. Not only is
thesmallbusinesscluba
proven 8 times more effective than all of the other
networking clubs I attend combined, it is also the
friendliest and most enjoyable.
All of your
thesmallbusinessclub
managers actively promote their members businesses and go
above and beyond the call of duty, making these clubs by
far the most welcoming and effective networking clubs I
attend. Charlie, Savio, Jackie, Christine, Joan and Janet
have very clear values when it comes to their work and
they give their clubs their own personalities.
Well done, guys, and I'll look forward to
working with you in 2008. Happy networking.
Best regards,
Stephen Ng of Cubic Design

"I
enjoyed yesterday's meeting, and thought the discussion
about getting paid on time was very good. It really
highlighted one of the USPs of
thesmallbusinessclub,
which is members helping members with their business
issues in a free and open fashion, learning from each
others mistakes and experiences."

"I
have found
thesmallbusinessclub to be a fantastic source
of business but more importantly of support and
encouragement. Unlike many networking clubs the Small
Business club members are dedicated to helping each other
and passing on referrals to one another. There is also the
opportunity to present your business in a relaxed and
friendly environment giving you a great platform from which
to promote your company. All of this at the most reasonably
and competitively priced membership in Central Scotland
today."

"I'm
so pleased I joined
thesmallbusinessclub. Not only have I made a large number of
interesting contacts and heard numerous
speakers, the meetings I've attended to date have been
instrumental in leading to new business worth more than a
hundred times the membership fee - so far!! Many thanks for
an interesting, useful range of meetings where I learn
something new every time."

"I enjoy getting along to
thesmallbusinessclub
lunches. Its relaxed, informal atmosphere is ideal for
learning more and building relations with other small
businesses in the area. You learn that they often have
similar problems to you and, as they say, a problem shared
is a problem halved. Others may have already experienced
similar problems and can help with solutions. It's not all
about getting business but making friends and
building relationships, which quite often can lead to
business in the future."
